Benefits Of Growing Your Own Vegetables

The benefits of growing vegetables are endless & priceless! Yes, believe it or not, these benefits start before and go beyond the pure enjoyment of mouth watering bites of sweet, fresh, unbeatable flavored goodness upon harvest.

Like planning a vacation, we can get swept away in the planning of our gardens, imagining and creating our own backyard getaway. We are then able to block out the cares of the world by focusing on preparing soil, planting seeds, watering, and tending to our plants.

For working hard, our garden rewards us with baskets full of delicious, nutritious, fresh vegetables that would cost a whole heck of a lot more if they were purchased at a grocery store.

Growing your own vegetables is just one of the many ways that you can cut costs and reduce your grocery bill. This could be the start of your very own frugal journey! Let Ray-Anne at Frugality-for-today show you how to live frugally through careful budgeting and help you make every cent count!

Growing vegetables also gives us the peace of mind in knowing that no harmful chemicals or pesticides are being put in/on the food that our families eat;providing us with quality vegetables that improve our health with every bite.

How To Grow Vegetables

Ask 10 different gardening experts how to grow vegetables and they each will tell you something different. One expert may even tell you something that contradicts what another expert said. Does this mean that 9 of them are wrong and only 1 is right? Absolutely not!

There are many ways to grow vegetables, with some being good for some people/gardens/growing regions but not for others. Don't let this confuse you. Instead, try out the different methods, suggestions, and/or theories and find what works best for YOU, YOUR climate, YOUR soil, YOUR yard, and YOUR vegetable garden.

Don't let growing vegetables stress you out. Yes, there is a lot of information for our minds to absorb on this topic. Like cooking with a recipe, just take it one step at a time and make adjustments as you see fit to meet your own needs. ~Emily
